Why CBD is Perfect for Reinforcing YOUR Wellness!

In 2015 I was working as a trainer in a corporate wellness facility. I thought I was in great shape. I was strong, with a muscular build and I had the mindset to push through anything that came my way. In that same year I started developing strange symptoms like heart palpitations, high blood pressure, physical fatigue and mental fog. I went to the doctor only to be told I looked healthy and they didn’t see anything wrong with me. Week after week I grew more and more concerned because I feared the worst. I was afraid to exercise because I would experience shortness of breath. My weight gain led to depression, creating a vicious cycle of emotional eating. In desperation, I started to do research on natural ways to improve my health and wellbeing. It was during this time that I started to understand the necessity of supporting the body’s innate recovery processes. Previously, I’d only been putting my foot on the gas without giving myself time so brake. Pushing myself so hard without recovery was causing my body and my health to deteriorate.
When we have our foot on the gas for too long, it takes a toll physically and mentally. Physical and mental stress contribute to the worsening of all preventable diseases and can many times be directly expressed as symptoms. The symptoms of high-blood pressure, physical fatigue, brain fog and depression were all due to neglecting my body’s recovery processes. Other symptoms can include: chronic pain, agitation, inability of focus, insomnia and mood disorders (1). Once I started to reinforce my wellness through the use of CBD and the implementation of mindfulness based wellness techniques, I was able to create a more balanced internal environment; curing my chronic symptoms and filling me with amazing energy, focus, and motivation.
CBD interacts with the body’s endocannabinoid system, a regulatory system that plays a major role in physiology, mood and everyday experience. The endocannabinoid system is considered a regulatory system because it’s activation has a wide range of effects on the body. CBD1 and CBD2 receptors are responsible for activating recovery processes in the the body, improving the ease and effectiveness of recovery activities like meditation, mindful movement, digestion and sleep.
Since my transformation, I’ve made it a mission to help my clients find balance through exercise, diet and mindset strategies. It turns out that CBD products support all three areas of wellness. CBD helps to relieve excess tension in the body and improve neuroendocrine function to promote improved movement quality and motor learning. CBD helps to take your body into a parasympathetic (rest & digest) nervous state, promoting vagus activation for improved digestion.
